What is the Point in Time (PIT) Count?
The Point-in-Time Count is a one-day unduplicated count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless individuals and families across the United States. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires that each Continuum of Care (CoC) conduct a count in the last 10 days of January every year. Join us to make a difference in the lives of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness throughout Onondaga, Oswego, and Cayuga Counties by taking part in the nation’s largest homeless census. To volunteer for the next PIT count, please contact Megan Stuart at mstuart@unitedway-cny.org or 315-428-2224.
